With a special focus on nature, flowers, landscapes and a touch of architecture, you will learn how to create expressive journal paintings while developing a deeper understanding of colour, composition, design principles and tonal values. We will explore the unique qualities of gouache and why it is one of the most versatile and travel-friendly painting mediums available.

In this fascinating workshop, you will explore the hidden language of colour and learn many things you may never have known about the colours that surround us every day.

Together, we will uncover what colour truly is, how it interacts with light and perception, and how artists, designers and spiritual traditions have used colour throughout history to communicate meaning, evoke feelings and create atmosphere. You will learn the principles of colour harmony, explore the three colour wheels, and discover how to create beautiful, vibrant and unexpected colour combinations in your artwork.

We will also delve into the psychological, symbolic and magical associations of colour, exploring how different colours can influence mood, energy and personal expression. Whether you are interested in art, design, journaling, meditation or spiritual practice, this workshop will open new ways of understanding and working with colour.

Tips:
You can just buy a cheap pack of gouche paints to practice with & get started from the $2 shop or you can invest in proper artist paints.

Our favourite professional, artists quality gouache brands are Winsor & Newton or Holbien (from Japan.)

 For Gouache paint you can just get a pack of CYMK colours:
Cyan,
Yellow, Magenta, Black and White.

1🎨 Workshops, courses or term bookings can not be made up or refunded up tp 48 hours before the commencement of the workshop, course or term unless specific arrangements were made prior to the commencement of the workshop, course or term.
(You are still taking up a spot / booking in the class even if you are not there.)
  This is also the same for classes or time missed during workshops, courses or terms.

2🎨 You must be 16+ to attend a workshop or a class.

3🎨 We dont discuss politics during the classes. Everyone is in the class to have fun and relax peacefully.
