A fun, inspiring, interactive and very informative step by step oil painting course for absolute beginners.

We will be focussing on portraiture, not because everyone wants to learn portraiture and its not specifically a portraiture painting course, but it is one of the best ways to learn how to paint - so you can go on to paint whatever you are wanting.

Why portaits to start ? This will be explained in the class.

Absolute beginners 6 week painting course structure:

Week one: Principles of drawing 1, all about artist blocks, art materials, reference material.
Week two: Underpainting, more about reference materials inspiration and finding your own style / techniques.
Week Three: Base layer of painting. All about canvases.
Week Four: Drawing 2. Detail and shading.
Week Five: Details and shading. Colour theory and colour mixing.
Week Six: The principles of creating mood and the principles of design.
All about the art world.

Each week we will watch a 10 minute film clip of Bonny doing a demonstration of the topic at hand for discussion. We will also be discussing your own individual paintings as they progress and Bonny will answer any questions.

N.B. **Please note:

At least 72 hours is required for cancellations prior to course commencement for a full refund.

Spots missed on the course can not be refunded or made up UNLESS arrangements were made PRIOR to the commencement of the course. Placement spots are very limited and you are still taking up someone elses spot with your booking even if you are not there HOWEVER, if you missed a class, a film of it will be available for you to download or watch from drop box for that week.

I since 2003 have never ever had to cancel a course before but should an unexpected issue arrise I reserve the right to cancel the course and issue the art student a full refund.
