About the Artist / Art Teacher

Bonny Hut was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and grew up in Durban, South Africa where she obtained a National Diploma in Fine art and a Cert 4 in Graphic Design. She now lives in Melbourne, Australia where she ran the Alchemy School of Art since 2002 and has taught well over a thousands of people to paint and draw from scratch.

She was also the director at the Esoteric Gallery for 5 years where she curated many art shows and organised many other creative and spiritual events, workshops and parties. She also produced and edited a TV series for C31 about art called "Inside Imaginary Realism" which is now completed its second season. Bonny has had 12 solo exhibitions and 15 group exhibitions since 1996.
She now paints full time and her work is sought after by collectors worldwide
and she is actively involved in various aspects of Melbourne's art community.
